Who They Are
Rural Ottawa South Support Services (ROSSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the well-being of older adults and adults living with disabilities in rural communities south of Ottawa. Established in 1983, ROSSS provides a range of health and social services designed to support individuals in maintaining their independence and quality of life while living at home.
What They Do
ROSSS offers a variety of programs and services tailored to meet the needs of its clients:
- Community Support Services: Including Meals on Wheels, grocery delivery, and adult day programs.
Rural Ottawa South Support Services - Transportation Services: Providing accessible transportation options for medical appointments and social activities.
- Caregiver Support: Offering resources and respite services to support those caring for loved ones.
- Social Programs: Organizing events such as The Great Social Luncheon, Afternoon Tea, and Halloween Trivia Night to foster community engagement.
- Home Care Services: Assisting with personal care and homemaking to support daily living.
- A Friendly Voice: A telephone support program aimed at reducing isolation among seniors.
